The European Union is set up with the aim of ending the frequent and bloody wars between neighbors, which culminated in the Second World War. As of 1950, the European Coal and Steel Community begins to unite European countries economically and politically in order to secure lasting peace. The six founders are Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The 1950s are dominated by a cold war between east and west. Protests in Hungary against the Communist regime are put down by Soviet tanks in 1956; while the following year, 1957, the Soviet Union takes the lead in the space race, when it launches the first man-made space satellite, Sputnik 1. Also in 1957, the Treaty of Rome creates the European Economic Community (EEC), or ‘Common Market’.

The 1960s sees the emergence of 'youth culture’, with groups such as The Beatles attracting huge crowds of teenage fans wherever they appear, helping to stimulate a cultural revolution and widening the generation gap. It is a good period for the economy, helped by the fact that EU countries stop charging custom duties when they trade with each other. They also agree joint control over food production, so that everybody now has enough to eat - and soon there is even surplus agricultural produce. May 1968 becomes famous for student riots in Paris, and many changes in society and behaviour become associated with the so-called ‘68 generation’.

The Polish trade union, Solidarność, and its leader Lech Walesa, become household names across Europe and the world following the Gdansk shipyard strikes in the summer of 1980. In 1981, Greece becomes the 10th member of the EU and Spain and Portugal follow five years later. In 1987 the Single European Act is signed. This is a treaty which provides the basis for a vast six-year programme aimed at sorting out the problems with the free-flow of trade across EU borders and thus creates the ‘Single Market’. There is major political upheaval when, on 9 November 1989, the Berlin Wall is pulled down and the border between East and West Germany is opened for the first time in 28 years, this leads to the reunification of Germany when both East and West Germany are united in October 1990.

With the collapse of communism across central and eastern Europe, Europeans become closer neighbours. In 1993 the Single Market is completed with the the 'four freedoms' of: movement of goods, services, people and money. The 1990s is also the decade of two treaties, the ‘Maastricht’ Treaty on European Union in 1993 and the Treaty of Amsterdam in 1999. People are concerned about how to protect the environment and also how Europeans can act together when it comes to security and defence matters. In 1995 the EU gains three more new members, Austria, Finland and Sweden. A small village in Luxembourg gives its name to the ‘Schengen’ agreements that gradually allow people to travel without having their passports checked at the borders. Millions of young people study in other countries with EU support. Communication is made easier as more and more people start using mobile phones and the internet.

The euro is the new currency for many Europeans. 11 September 2001 becomes synonymous with the 'War on Terror' after hijacked airliners are flown into buildings in New York and Washington. EU countries begin to work much more closely together to fight crime. The political divisions between east and west Europe are finally declared healed when no fewer than 10 new countries join the EU in 2004. Many people think that it is time for Europe to have a constitution but what sort of constitution is by no means easy to agree, so the debate on the future of Europe rages on.

THE PENTAGON LISTENS TO RADIO TALK SHOW HOST PAUL McGUIRE "THE WARNING"

Through live audio streaming listeners from Saudi Arabia, China and Russia are avid listeners of the Paul McGuire Show. When Rick Warren was being criticized for talking to the President of Syria, Rick’s wife Kay came on the Paul McGuire Show where he encouraged a tearful Kay, and her husband Rick. Paul McGuire is the host of the nationally syndicated Paul McGuire Show which broadcasts from KBRT in Los Angeles. He is the author of 15 books, a professor at the Kings College and Seminary, and a regular commentator on the Fox News Network and CNN. Last week McGuire appeared in an interview that was aired three times on the Fox News Network where his new novel“The Warning” was discussed.

In “The Warning”the McGuire tells a fictional account of what would happened to the United States if terrorists hit multiple U.S. cities with nuclear weapons. These topics have been popular in television shows like 24, and the movies. However, has been writing and researching these subjects for over 20 years. In an earlier book entitled “Countdown to Armageddon” McGuire talked about Osama Bin Laden, an attack on the World Trade Center’s, Iran, and Iraq before 911. In his book “Are You Ready?” the Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Olmert read the book just weeks before the war with Lebanon and contacted McGuire to thank him. Paul McGuire had first met Olmert in San Diego when Ehud Olmert was the Mayor of Jerusalem. On the Fox News Network McGuire has come on to debate leading Democratic and Republican political leaders about the war on terrorism, immigration and the borders. McGuire has openly stated that there are Al Qaeda cells in operation in America and that he believes they have Russian suitcase nukes. A subject which he tackles in his novel “The Warning.” Paul McGuire has a lot of fans at the Pentagon, CIA, FBI, NSA, Marines, Army, Navy and NRO. In fact, his show can be heard blaring from car radio’s at the Camp Pendleton in San Diego, Twenty Nine Palms, and military bases in Colorado.

Although, Paul McGuire has become a “new media” personality, he shuns the idea of being called a celebrity, and turns down newspaper and television interviews. However, when McGuire does speak at a few conferences either here in America or places like Malaysia he draws crowds of 5,000 people. Some of the biggest names in Hollywood are fans of his show, and his ideas have a strong influence on many key cultural leaders. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Karl Rove, Senator John McCain, and other political leaders have benefited from McGuire’s counsel on-air or behind the scenes. Best-selling author Tim LaHaye of the “Left Behind" Series” is a huge fan of the Paul McGuire Show, has endorsed McGuire’s books and is a frequent guest of the program. The Paul McGuire Show is one of the most successful radio shows in the nation, having broadcast for nine years over the Crawford Broadcasting Network.

Before being asked to be a radio talk show host, Paul McGuire was a feature film producer in Hollywood where he produced a best-selling film at the Cannes film festival. However, McGuire avoids the hype and media of places like Cannes. He was invited to speak at the National Religious Broadcasting Convention, but he accepts almost no invitations to speak at conferences or conventions. He did accept an invitation by Dr. Jack Hayford to speak at Hayford’s Autumn Leadership Conference where several thousand pastors came out to support the nation of Israel. McGuire accepted the invitation because he has devoted his life to supporting the nation of Israel, warning America of the dangers of globalism, and preserving our Constitutional freedoms, such as freedom of religion and freedom of speech. He is constantly asked about running for Governor or President, but McGuire feels he can be more effective behind the scenes in using his radio show and books to motivate Americans to stand for what they believe. That was his purpose in writing “The Warning.”To warn Americans to stand up for what they believe before it is too late.
 

    

 

WHEN CANADA, MEXICO & THE UNITED STATES ARE ONE

                        THE NAFTA SUPERHIGHWAY

            In a recent interview with Tony Snow the White House Press Secretary on the Paul McGuire Show, he was questioned on his knowledge of the coming North American Union of Mexico, Canada and the United States.  Thousands of pastors from all over the country gathered at a leadership conference, in which I was given the opportunity to share my knowledge of the coming merger.  With blank faces, the pastors admitted to being unaware of such an event ever occurring or even taking place at this moment. In an effort to inform the nation, I have notified over ten million people through various television shows, such as the Fox News Network and detailing this threat in my book “Are You Ready?”.

            The majority of America is appallingly ignorant of the reality of Canada, Mexico and the United States merging.  Like a deer frozen by the headlights of a car barreling down on it, the United States is dumbfounded when the coming North American Union is discussed.  America has been “dumbed-down”.  This is obvious from the lack of knowledge of extensive credible documentation from reliable mainstream sources on the coming merger.  For example, the Council on Foreign Relations published an extensive report in May of 2005 entitled “Building a North American Community – Report of an Independent Task Forces” detailing the creation of the North American Community or Union with an expected completion date of 2010 A.D.

            The report states on page ten, “What We Should Do by 2010 – Lay the groundwork for the freer flow of people within North America.  The three governments should commit themselves to the long-term goal of dramatically diminishing the need for the current intensity of the government’s physical control of cross-border traffic, travel, and trade within North America.” “North America” is defined as the fusion of Canada, Mexico and the United States.  The goal of the Council of Foreign Relations is to eradicate existing borders between these nations, not enforce them.

The Freedom of Information Act allows access to over a thousand pages of internal government documents filed by the Judicial Watch, provided by Dr. Jerome Corsi and Jim Gilchrist.   These documents detail the United States government officials, agencies, individuals and multi-national corporations that are a part of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America. This partnership facilitates the unification of North American Union.  The specific names of the various United States Secretary’s, governmental flow charts and the names of working groups which consists of the highest level government officials, agencies and corporations are available for public view.

            In addition, “Are You Ready?” gives details about the coming merger of Mexico, Canada and the United States and its relationship to Bible prophecy.  Dr. Tim LaHaye read it and has not only recommended it, but remarked that it contained all kinds of information that he was not aware of.  Some people have said that “Are You Ready?” is to the 21st Century what the “Late Great Planet Earth” was to an earlier generation.  I have been overwhelmed with E Mails from all over the world about the warning I placed in the book.  In addition, I have a new novel coming out that will deal with this subject, the war on terrorism and other prophetic issues.

At the end of World War II, the groundwork for the European Union was formed through the creation of the Council of Europe.  Utilizing a method called “gradualism” developed by Jean Monnet, a series of apparently innocuous trade and tariff treaties were signed.  Jean Monnet, who was impacted by the events of World War I, was the Deputy Secretary of the League of Nations which was created to aid the development of global government. Later it evolved into the United Nations.  Monnet cleverly concealed a hidden political agenda inserted in the various trade treaties that were being signed.  The true purpose of these treaties was to create the legal structure for the powerful European Union and a new European Union Constitution.

            Why should people be concerned about the new European Union Constitution?  They should be concerned because the European Union along with its new Constitution is the model of a North American Union and a new North American Union Constitution.  Recently, the German Government arrested Christian home schooling parents.  The parents were handcuffed, the mothers were strip searched, and thrown in jail.  The German Government forced the children of these parents to attend public school.  Why?  The German Government declared that it could not tolerate children in Germany being educated in any other way than secular humanism and moral relativism.

            The German Christian home schooling parents appealed to the European Courts and the ruling of the German Government was upheld by the European Union Courts.  German Christians were failed to see when the European Union Constitution was implemented they lost their religious liberties.  No court of appeals is available to theses Christians in Germany.  In the same manner, once the North American Union and North American Union Constitution are implemented through a series of apparently innocuous trade treaties like NAFTA, GATT, WTO, Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and the North American Union, it can only be expected that such events will follow.  The end goal will be to duplicate both the European Union and the new European Union Constitution.  However, like in Germany, most Americans are oblivious to these realities.

For those who have doubt about the coming merger of Mexico, Canada and the United States, consider that beginning next year a series of “NAFTA Superhighways” are beginning construction.  The TTC or Trans-Texas Corridor is a ten lane highway that would bisect Texas from its border with Mexico to Oklahoma.  This would parallel I-35.  In order to build this highway 584,000 acres of farm and ranch land will seized. The TTC will be the first part of a “NAFTA Superhighway” that would go through the heartland of America all the way to Canada.  A Kansas City Smart Port will be constructed that will receive Chinese goods in sealed cargo containers from the southern Mexican port of Lazaro Cardinas to Kansas City, Missouri.

            There are plans for additional “NAFTA Superhighways” to begin construction soon.  I have had listeners of the Paul McGuire Show say that they have talked to friends who are part of the construction of the “NAFTA Superhighway” in Kansas City, and they have been told, “How did you know about this?  It is supposed to be a secret.”  They responded I read about it in Paul McGuire’s book “Are You Ready?” Another listener E- Mailed me and said, “The uniting of Mexico, the US and Canada has hit me in the backyard literally.  I live in So Cal but am from Texas- the massive freeway from Mexico, through the U.S. up to Canada is on the map to go right through my family’s farmland.  I just found out about 3 weeks ago.  And when they want the land they are going to take it by force- Imminent Domain, and it is going to ruin rural Texas forever.  It makes me sick.  Everyone feels powerless…I am buying several copies of your book to give to my family in Texas.”
 

            What we are seeing is precisely what the Prophet Daniel wrote about and Revelation Chapters 17-18.  Regional global governments like the European Union and the North American Union are paving the way for a new Roman Empire that will become the one world government.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE COMING MERGER OF CANADA,       MEXICO & THE UNITED STATES?

            I am currently thankful for the fact that there are now many radio talk show hosts,          authors, journalists, and politicians talking about the coming merger of Mexico, Canada, and the United States.  Many of these people first heard about this Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America through my book  Are You Ready?” and through listening to The Paul McGuire Show.  We were the first national radio talk show to deal with the subject.

            Shortly after the publication of my book Are You Ready?, which deals with terrorism, the Middle East, the coming merger of Mexico, Canada and the United States, along with Bible prophecy,  I required the students of my class on Eschatology to read my book.  I remember one very bright seminary student being stunned by the fact that I talked about the coming merger of Mexico, Canada, and the United States, and who immediately challenged me to prove my claims.  In the book I gave full documentation.  I essentially explained to him the Council on Foreign Relations had published a 59 page document entitled “Building A North American Community which had outlined the plan.

            Many times on The Paul McGuire Show, when we would talk about this coming merger, some callers would call with anger, and demand proof.  In response to many of your E Mails, where you have experienced a similar reaction,  I have outlined a few bullet points in this article to help you share the reality of the coming merger.  In my book Are You Ready?  I have a more comprehensive description, and how it all fits into the coming world religion, the war on terrorism, the Middle East, and Bible prophecy.  In fact, I deal with the question about where America will fit in regarding the coming global government and Bible prophecy.

            The Council on Foreign Relations has produced a document entitled Creating A North American Community: Chairmen’s Independent Task Force on the Future of North America.  The document calls for “the creation by 2010 of a community to enhance security, prosperity, and opportunity for all North Americans.”  Essentially, what the plan calls for is the creation of a North American Union, which would be similar to the European Union.

            In the 2005 report entitled Building a North American Community – Report of an Independent Task Force sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations, called for “the creation by 2010 of a North American community to enhance security, prosperity, and opportunity.”  Although, those words appear to be positive in nature, when one examines the report, there is clear call to some kind of political/economic merger of the three nations.  For example, the Report calls for a “common security perimeter” of Canada, Mexico and the United States.  The Report calls for “full labor mobility” between Canada, Mexico, and the United States by “eliminating restrictions on labor and mobility altogether.”  This means to create a borderless society between Canada, Mexico, and the United States and “consider eliminating all barriers to the ability of their citizens to live and work in the other country.”  The goal is to merge the three nations into one!

            What is on the horizon is the implementation of a Security and Prosperity Partnership for a new North American Union that would end our national sovereignty and eventually end our current Constitution and Bill of Rights. The creation of a North American Union would bring about a new North American Union Constitution.

            Many people have suggested that this North American Union will be good for all Americans.  However, in recent weeks we have seen the arrest of home schooling parents who are going to be imprisoned and their children have been seized by the German government which has outlawed home schooling.  The German Government, operating under the authority granted to it by the European Union Constitution, has made it illegal for Christian families to home school their children.  The German Federal Constitutional Court stated that, “the general interest of society is  to avoid the emergence of parallel societies based on separate philosophical convictions and the importance of integrating minorities into society.”  This simply means that under the European Union Constitution all children must be educated to be secular humanists, and that it is now a crime for parents to teach them Christianity in home schools.

            The creation of a new North American Union Constitution will attack our religious liberties just as certainly as European Christians are discovering that they now have no legal right to “freedom of religion.”  There is an incredible ignorance among Christians about how fragile their religious freedoms are when our government evolves into a North American Union.  The real purpose of NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT and the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America is to create a regional global government under a new North American Union Constitution.  It is not simply a matter of economics and trade treaties.

            Starting in 1957 with the Treaties of Rome, the Europeans were led to believe that the creation of a European Common Market, and other so-called trade agreements, would benefit their economy.  The Europeans whole heartedly went along with the EEC or European Economic Community,  the Single European Act in 1987, the Common Agricultural Policy or CAP, the European Parliament, and finally the European Union.  They were told it was all about trade, economics, and the “euro dollar.”  But, they ignored the clear words of Jean Monet who openly advocated the gradualist approach to the formation of a European Union and a new European Union Constitution.  European Christians were especially asleep, and now there religious liberties are under assault from many European governments.

            This same “gradualist” approach is being implemented here in North America.  In September of 2006, there was a high level meeting in Banff, Canada with topics like, “A Vision for North America,” “Opportunities for Security Cooperation,” and “Social Dimensions of North American Integration.”  Some of those attending the conference were Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, former Secretary of State George Schultz, former Central Intelligence Director James R. Woolsey, North American Union architect James Pastor, and many other high-level government officials.

            Judicial Watch filed Freedom of Information Act requests and has obtained internal documents from the “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America” (SPP).  These documents include organizational flow charts that list the highest governmental officials in the United States.

            For those who continue to remain skeptical, there are “NAFTA superhighways.” The Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC) is planned for construction in 2007.  Plans call for a ten-lane limited access highway to parallel Interstate 35 which would link Mexico to Kansas City, and then up into Canada.

            On several Fox News Network appearances, I brought up the subject of the North American Union, and I have done considerable research on the coming merger of Canada, Mexico, and the United States, along with its implications for the war of terrorism, Israel, and prophecy in my book “Are You Ready?” I don’t think most Americans are ready for the implications of this coming merger of Mexico, Canada, and the United States.  Are You Ready? is available through the website, PaulMcGuire.com.

A FIFTEEN YEAR OLD HOMESCHOOLER IN GERMANY IS
ARRESTED & PLACED IN A PSYCHIATRIC UNIT FOR THE THOUGHT CRIME OF "SCHOOL PHOBIA."

ALERT!  Yesterday of the Paul McGuire Show we had the Senior Legal Defense Counsel of the Home Schooling Legal Defense Association on the show.  We have been informed that the German Government has taken Melissa to a secret location, and that her parents do not know where she is.  Please pray for her!

It is my opinion that the legal architecture for such persecution comes from the European Union Constitution, and the homeschoolers have no legal rights in Germany.  There are people in the United States who want to ratify a new North American Union Constitution which would be a mirror of the European Union Constitution.  The result will be a similar loss of religious freedom in the United States.  I warn about this in my new novel The Warning.

If we are not careful, what happened in Germany can happen here.  Imagine if Melissa was your daughter, and you did not know where she was because you home schooled her?

Amina Melissa BusekrosThe day before Christmas, the German newspaper, Erlanger Nachrichten published a picture of the eight-member Busekros family standing happily together around an advent wreath. The title of the accompanying article was “Only families open the way for new perspectives“. On the first of February this year, the Busekros’ oldest daughter was torn from her family by force, thanks to a judge’s ruling : Compulsory admittance to the Klinikum Nuremberg-Nord, a psychiatric clinic for children and young people and loss of parental custody.

In summer 2004, Melissa was told that she would have to repeat the 7th grade at the Christian Ernst Gymnasium (a high school where one can obtain the Abitur, the highest German high school diploma) due to her bad grades in math and latin. The situation in the class played no small part in creating this state of affairs - the high noise levels and cancelled classes prevented her from receiving the educational assistance she needed  during school hours. As Melissa had good grades in all the other subjects, repeating the whole year would be mostly a waste of her time, as well as the fact that she would now be in a class even more problematic than the previous year’s. Thus, it was decided by Melissa and her parents that she would be tutored individually at home to meet her specific needs. At her own wish, Melissa only took part in Music and sang in her school choir. The school and the local school authorities were not satisfied with this solution, and consequently expelled Melissa from the school, allocating her to the local Hauptschule (the lowest in the German three-tier high school system).

The Busekros continued educating their daughter at home, with their other school-age children still attending school. At the end of the school year 2005/2006, Melissa was no longer subject to full-time compulsory schooling. In spite of this the Youth Welfare Office (Jugendamt) in Erlangen appealed to the local Family Court, which ordered Melissa and her parents to appear at a hearing, which was consequently attended solely by her father. Melissa was overseas at that point. However, the authorities didn’t relent and wanted to know in detail where Melissa was, resulting in an unannounced visit to the family by the Judge of the Family Court.

The Busekros family is known and much loved by all their neighbours. Their willingness to be photographed for an article in the local newspaper demonstrates that they have nothing to hide. That was not good enough for the officials. On Tuesday 30th January just after 7am, Mrs Busekros and her children – Mr Busekros had already left for work – were startled by the appearance of the judge of the Family Court,social workers and police officials who demanded that Melissa, now aged 15, be handed over to them immediately. They had as authorisation a decision by the Erlangen Court (case no. 006 F 01004/06) of the 29th of January. It stated “The relevant Youth Welfare Office is hereby instructed and authorised to bring the child, if necessary by force, to a hearing and may obtain police support for this purpose.”

Melissa was brought into the Child Psychiatry Unit of the Nuremberg clinic and was subjected to an interrogation in the presence of the specialist Dr. Schanda. After this interrogation, about three and a half hours after she was coerced into the clinic, Melissa was returned home. Her relieved parents and her five younger siblings, who didn’t know when they would ever see Melissa again, as well as Melissa herself didn’t know that the worst was still to come.Melissa (right, top) and her familiy

On the afternoon of the 1st of February, the judge of the Family Court, representatives of the Youth Welfare Office, along with fifteen police officers, marched up to the Busekros home, to haul Melissa off to the Child Psychiatry Unit of the Nuremberg clinic. The judicial decision authorising this also removed Melissa from her parents’ custody, according to her father, Hubert Busekros.This treatment was justified by the psychiatrist’s finding, two days previously, that she was supposedly developmentally delayed by one year and that she suffered from school phobia. The fact that the less than optimal testing environment and the unexpectedness of the tests could have impacted on Melissa’s performance were not taken into account in this decision. It is not known when Melissa’s parents and siblings will be able to see her again, as the official approach in cases of “school phobia” is to completely prevent the “patient” from having any contact with those closest to him or her, as such contact supposedly enables the phobia.

The article, "Only families open the way for new perspectives " was accompanied by the photo of a happily smiling Melissa surrounded by her loved ones – in her current situation, she can’t have much to smile about. Will her smiles disappear completely, while the bureaucrats who placed her in this situation remain smug in their certainty that they have made her life better? What is being done to a sensitive and musical young girl, just because the bureaucrats want to set an example? In their zealous drive to enforce compulsory schooling (which by Melissa’s age is only part-time) at all costs, they readily accept the trauma caused to the unassuming and lovable Melissa.

If Melissa had lived in Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Ireland, the UK or Belgium, all those involved – the schoolgirl, her parents and the educational officials involved – would have been, at the very least, unperturbed that she was being educated at home. In these countries, as in practically the rest of the world, home education is a legally recognised alternative to school, which can be a boon to children with special needs and gifts. Many of those German school pupils who have had to repeat grades would have been able to complete their schooling without stress in these countries if they had parents as involved as Melissa’s. Melissa, on the other hand, has been turned into a psychiatric case : a German schoolchild’s nightmare.

The Netzwerk Bildungsfreiheit condemns this inconsiderate and totally incommensurate behaviour on the part of the officials involved and demands that they give Melissa her freedom and return her to her family immediately. Additionally, the Netzwerk Bildungsfreiheit calls all politicians and those in political offices, in Erlangen and the rest of Germany, to ensure that such human rights abuses and and high-handed behaviour by government officials are stopped, even if it requires personal intervention.

                                RIOTS AT THE TEMPLE MOUNT

            Thousands of police will be deployed on Friday morning due to fears that Muslims will again riot at the Temple Mount.  Police Commissioner Moshe Karadi said that over 3,000 police and Border Police will deploy around the Temple Mount and the Old City and East Jerusalem.  The Israel Antiquities Authority began broadcasting live images of the Mugrabi Gate works as an effort to prove to that the work would not damage nearby mosques.             Bible prophecy has a great deal to say about the rebuilding of a temple in Jerusalem.  In fact, the Bible predicts that three temples will be built in the future.  During the Tribulation Period unbelieving Jews will rebuild the Temple ( Isa.  66:1-6 ).  This will happen when the nation of Israel makes a covenant with the Antichrist or the “Abomination of Desolation” ( Dan. 9:27 ).  This temple will be destroyed at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.  Then what is called the Millennial Temple will be built by Jesus Christ ( Zech. 14:10-, Isa. 2:2 ).  The purpose of this Temple will not be to do away with the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the Cross, as the final sacrifice for man’s sins.  It will be a ceremonial temple, and a not a substitute for faith in the sacrifice of the Lamb of God who is Jesus Christ.

            The precise dimensions of this Millennial Temple are outlined in Ezekiel 40-48.  The final temple in the future will be the one occupying the New Jerusalem throughout eternity.  ( Rev. 21:2,10 ).  At this time there will be no need for an actual physical structure.  All of God’s people will be in their resurrection bodies, and there will be no sin.  As such, God’s people will now have direct contact with God in Heaven.  John states that there is no temple in the Ne w Jerusalem.  “The Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.”  The temple will be God Himself!

            However, until that time one of the most important events on the prophetic horizon is the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple.  This will happen either during the Tribulation Period which is an event that will happen immediately after the Rapture of the Church.  It is no accident that almost 2,000 years after Jesus Christ predicted the destruction of the Jewish Temple in 70 A.D. that world attention is now focused on the Temple Mount area.  God’s prophetic time clock is clicking with incredible accuracy, and Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.  Central to this understanding is the fact that a charismatic world leader will emerge to sign a seven year peace treaty with the nation of Israel.  In the middle of that seven year period this leader will betray the nation of Israel, and set himself up to be worshipped as God in the rebuilt Jewish Temple.

THE MYSTERY OF ANTI-SEMITISM   By Paul McGuire

Throughout the centuries the Jews have been the focal point of intense hatred, Anti-semitism, violence and murder. The author will show that the reason for this irrational hatred of the Jews is spiritual in nature. The Old Testament describes the Jews as God’s chosen people. According to the Old Testament, the Hebrew God chose the Jews not because they were better than any other people. They were chosen out of a sovereign choice of an Old Testament God. This God of the Jews according to the Torah could have chosen any other ethnic or racial group, but He chose the Jews. The Jews represented the world’s first monotheistic culture. The Jews believed in one God. In distinct contrast, the surrounding cultures believed in many gods. This is the underlying reason for anti-semitism. The root of this hatred is a deep spiritual jealousy. The same kind of jealously which caused Cain to murder his brother Abel. History proves this out, during the Holocaust approximately 6 million of the 8 million Jews in Europe were systematically murdered by the Nazis. However, Adolph Hitler and the Nazi party’s hatred of the Jews was simply the flowering of centuries of Anti-Semitism that flourished in Europe.

The Jews have been persecuted for centuries by Europe, Russia, Spain, Portugal and Scandinavia. During the fiftieth anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, where about 1.4 million Jews were executed, Pope Paul III said, “Never again anti-semitism…never again genocide.” Yet, the same forces of anti-semitism that existed in Nazi Germany during prior to World War II, are starting to re-emerge around the world. In France, anti-semitism has grown to such an extent that many Jews are fleeing the country and moving to Israel. The leader of Libya, Kaddafi has said, publicly what many believe privately, when he announced, “The battle with Israel must be such that Israel will cease to exist!” Yasser Arrafat, Saddam Hussein and other Middle Eastern leaders have called for the total destruction of Israel.

Who Has A Right To The Land of Israel?

Ultimately, the basis for the Jews claim to the land of Israel is based on ancient Old Testament scriptures which record that the title deed to the land of Israel was given to the Jews by the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In fact, there are numerous passages of scripture which describe how the Hebrew God of the Old Testament specifically gave the land to Abraham and his descendants as an everlasting covenant. “And Moses besought the Lord his God, and said …remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self…all this land that I have spoken of, I will give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it forever." (Exodus 32:11, 13 )

In contrast, the Muslims claim that the Koran states that the Promised Land has been given to the Arabs and not the Jews. The Arabs claim to be descended from Ishmael who is also a son of Abraham. Many Christians believe that the Jews do not have the right to the land, but only those who have become “Spiritual Israel,” which they believe is the church. This idea is called “Replacement Theology.” In other words, some Christians do not believe that the Jews have any right to the land of Israel. According to their interpretation of the Bible, the true descendants of the Bible are not the physical descendants of Abraham, but the spiritual descendants of Abraham which are the Christians. These Christians believe that Israel has broken the covenant with the Biblical God described in Deuteronomy Chapter 28 and other passages in the Bible. These Christians believe that modern Israel has violated any divine right to the land. They see no prophetic significance in Israel being reformed as a nation in 1948. They view the rebirth of modern Israel as the result of politics and the Zionist movement.

Who is right? Have the Jews been given the land by their God or was it given to the Muslims? Are some Christian groups right when they suggest that it is the Church which is “Spiritual Israel,” and therefore it is Christians who have the right to the land. Although, there is disagreement among scholars, a consistent interpretation of the Old and New Testament scriptures teaches very clearly that the Judeo-Christian God of the Bible gave the Jews the land of Israel as part of the Abrahamic covenant and that the possession of the modern land of Israel is not contingent upon their spiritual condition. The author believes the Bible teaches very clearly in countless passages of scripture that the Judeo God made an “everlasting covenant” with the nation of Israel which included the promise of the modern land of Israel. The reformation of modern Israel in 1948 was predicted by the ancient Hebrew prophets in precise detail 2500 years ago. The statistical and mathematical possibility of all these prophesies coming true is proof as to the reliability of predictions of these Old Testament prophets.

 
   


 

                                        



HOW TO HAVE A RED HOT SEX LIFE   By Paul McGuire

When it comes to sex, men and women see things differently. Men often are clueless about cultivating a passionate and romantic relationship with their wives. At the same time, women often have no idea how important sexual fulfillment is to men both physically and psychologically. These are things that men can do to ignite their sex lives:
Learn to tune in to your wife. Actively discipline and train yourself to be sensitive to your wife. It will require concentration and hard work, but when your wife senses that you are being truly sensitive to her she will respect you, open up to you, trust you, and desire to be physically intimate with you
Romance your wife. When you were courting your wife, you knew instinctively how to be sensitive, caring, and romantic. Maybe you took her out for coffee, wrote her little love notes, brought her flowers, and listened to her intently when she poured her heart out to you. Slowly - without knowing it - you lost the romantic tenderness and passion. Now when you approach her sexually, she seems uninterested and unavailable. Have you stopped being her lover on the kind of romantic level that every woman craves? Begin to find ways to be romantic again and don't expect an instant payoff.
Cultivate a romantic relationship. Actively enjoy, delight, and rejoice in your wife. Many men want the passionate sex without the emotional and spiritual relationship, but women are not designed this way. Become the lover of her soul before you become the lover of her body.
Don't ignore unresolved conflicts. If you ignore conflicts, tensions, and disagreements in your marriage relationship, you will find that your wife will not be interested in being with you. Be the leader in healing any conflicts.
Be understanding of where she is physically and emotionally. Generally, men need sex more often than their wives do, with little or no preparation. But many women are exhausted from balancing the demands of work, family, and other activities. She may be exhausted, physically run down, depressed, anxious about something, or not feeling well.
Stop begging and start talking. Don't complain, pressure, demand, or beg for sex. Never pressure your wife to do things sexually that she is not comfortable with. You must respect each other's wishes, needs, and desires
Be creative about how you approach your wife sexually. For most women, physical intimacy is about love, romance, and emotional connection. They enjoy candles, bubble baths, love notes, foot rubs, massages, and soft music. Your own cleanliness, smell, and grooming are also important. Sex between a husband and wife should be passionate and holy at the same time. It should be a celebration of your spiritual union, emotional and physical union.
Find ways to praise and compliment your wife. A woman wants to know that she is admired by her husband and that she is special to him.
Make sure your sexual desires and attitudes have been renewed. Good sex is more than a plumbing manual. A lot of people in today’s culture have had their sexual attitudes shaped by pornography. The problem with pornography is that it creates a fantasy world about sex that is built on a series of lies. The first lie is that sex is simply a physical act. Sex is spiritual, emotional and physical. When you turn men or women into sex objects, you objectify the sexual relationship. Sex is reduced to a mechanical act. It is depersonalized and it dehumanizes. People feel like objects and they feel used. You cannot compartmentalize sex. Great sex involves love and spirituality.
Be a friend to your wife.Let your sexual relationship flow out of true friendship and close companionship. Your relationship should not just consist of talking about bills, children's problems, household chores and to-do lists. Share laughter, dreams, inner thoughts, and your relationships with the Lord. A woman is physically turned on by this kind of emotional intimacy and closeness.

HOW TO HAVE BREAKTHROUGH IN YOUR LIFE   By Paul McGuire

You have problems, obstacles, challenges, difficulties and trials in your life. As a result you are frustrated, depressed, anxious and worried. The question is "What do you do?" and what do you do now down here on Earth in the middle of this mess?

A lot of religions teach that it is God’s will for you to suffer. The Hindu’s teach that and they call it karma. A lot of people think they are suffering down here on earth because of bad karma. In fact, the late Beatle John Lennon sang a song about instant karma. Many churches teach you that it is God’s will for you to suffer. Now, there is a partial truth wrapped up in that statement. Sometimes suffering is necessary for us to grow spiritually. However, your destiny is not to be one of endless suffering. At some point, you should learn what you are supposed to learn and then experience breakthrough. The key to your breakthrough is wrapped up in you have been placed here on earth for a purpose. Now, that concept is so simple that it completely misses most of us. It certainly misses much of the media, the scientific establishment and society in general, who think we are here on earth by accident or chance.

The reality is that you are not in this thing called life alone! In fact, you are not in your own life alone. You are not alone! God is with you in whatever trial, difficulty and situation you may face. In plain, simple English that means that if your marriage is a mess, your family needs help, your career is nowhere, health problems, financial difficulties or whatever the challenge is. This God who created you…this God who exists -- He does not sit passively in Heaven watching your predicament saying "Oh well" and chuckles.

This God who really cares about you died to set you free and His compassion is endless. He is truly a Heavenly Father who like an earthly father, that you may have never known, is full of love towards you. Like a true Father, He is intimately involved in your life. He may allow trials and tests to teach you. But, His desire for you is growth, fruitfulness and yes, fulfillment! I am a Dad of three children. I recognize that my children have self-centered natures. As such I will have to discipline them in order that they can become what they were designed to be. However, because my heart overflows with love for them, I want them to be all who they were created to be! I want them to experience good things in their lives and be blessed. This is a very simple, but profound attitude regarding what our perception of God should be.

You are here on earth to experience breakthrough. Like an athlete you must learn to overcome the obstacles placed before you. You have a choice, you can give into the mediocrity that you see all around you. You can give into depression, addiction and despair. Or you can learn to triumph. A lot of people think that suffering is the truly spiritual thing to do. But, learning to triumph is far more spiritual than simply suffering. Anybody can suffer, but very few learn how to triumph and to overcome. You need to understand that you were called to be an overcomer. That is your destiny, but the process of learning how to overcome begins now. Whatever trial, difficulty and challenge you face can be overcome!

ROBERT DOWNEY & A GENERATIONAL CURSE    By Paul McGuire

Everyone seemed amazed when actor Robert Downey, Jr. was busted in Palm Springs . He was caught with a gun, cocaine and methamphetamines. How could such a successful actor, who had already been busted once do such a thing? An article in the Los Angeles Times entitled, "Addiction May Be In The Genes" gives us a clue. According to recent scientific research some drug abusers may have genetic propensity to become addicted. These people may have an A1 variation in the DRD2 gene which causes a deficiency in the neurological pleasure system. These people genetically have fewer dopamine receptors in the pleasure centers of the brain. This can lead to cocaine addiction, alcoholism, nicotine addiction, heroin addiction and other behavior.

Scientists have already discovered our genetic propensity for physical diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's, heart attacks and other problems. Now, scientists are uncovering the relationship between genes and mental disorders such as schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, depression and addiction. In addition, to these genetic conditions there exists a spiritual DNA. Certain problems run in families and are passed on from generation to generation. A generational curse if you will. I realize that the term generational curse has been misused and has theological limitations. I am not trying to invoke some kind of shamanistic belief system. But, I do believe there is a spiritual genes that can be passed on from generation to generation.

For example, families where witchcraft was practiced or the where there was involvement in the occult. In these families, there appears to be some kind of transference of demonic power and bondage. Other examples, could include families where there was sexual abuse, rape, incest and sexual promiscuity. These habit patterns can be passed on from generation to generation in what psychologists call re-enactment. Alcoholism and addiction is also passed from generation to generation. Clearly, in some of these examples, there could be specific genetic disorder such as a deficiency in the neurological pleasure system. This could explain the powerful need to self-medicate with drugs, alcohol or sexual stimulation. There are also basic psychological factors involved such as re-enactment, modeling of behavior and childhood conditioning.

In Robert Downey, Jr.'s case there were psychological factors in his upbringing. His father was a successful independent film director who made the underground film Putney Swope. Downey's father did not seem to be involved as a real father in Robert Downey, Jr.'s life. Obviously, this created an unstable psychological environment that opens the door to an addictive personality. Robert Downey Jr. began smoking pot on a daily basis at a very young age.

We need to understand that none of us are immune from these psychological, spiritual and genetic factors and that a generational curse can be at work in certain problems that we face. The question is, how do we deal spiritually with those problems? What spiritual tools can we employ to find victory and freedom?

You can find freedom from the generational curse by actively dealing with these issues spiritually. You must clearly understand what these problems are and begin to deal with them on a spiritual level. By developing new ways of living, it is possible to overcome these negative programs or strongholds in our lives.











THE COMING INVASION OF ISRAEL (Israel Today and in Prophecy)    Notes by Paul McGuire

I. THE EVERSLASTING COVENANT

A. God establishes an everlasting covenant with Abraham.

B. Covenant comes from the Hebrew word berit ( beh-reet ). It means covenant, compact, pledge, treaty, agreement.

C. Circumcision is the sign of the covenant. (Genesis 17:1-14)

D. God’s unconditional covenant with Abraham. (Genesis Chapter 15) God ordains a divinely ordered ritual called a barath which means to cut a covenant. This ritual involves two people who would divide a sacrifice in two parts and walk a “figure of eight pattern” while reciting the terms of the covenant. In this case, God puts Abraham asleep and goes through the covenant procedure Himself. The point God was making is that the covenant is unconditional and unilateral. Thus the Abrahamic covenant was unconditional. This is important when understanding the Book of Romans as well as many other passages. God gave Abraham the land and to his descendants. “From the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates”.

E. God’s covenant of peace shall never be removed from Israel. (Isaiah 54:9-10)

F. God promised a specific land to the Jews.

II. GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE


A. God chose the Jews not because they were more righteous or better than any other people. God did not give the Jews the Promised Land or the land of Canaan due to favoritism. The nations were cast out of that land because of their wickedness. “But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again, for the inequity of the Amorites is not yet full.” Genesis 15:16.

B. God clearly reveals that the land is being given not because of Israel ’s righteousness, but because of the covenant He made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. (Deuteronomy 9:4,5)

C. The promise of the land was not given once or twice, but dozens of times and this is repeated in almost every New Testament book.

D. The modern Arabs claim to be descendants of Ishmael (there is no proof of this). But, they are still not the seeds of Isaac and Jacob to whom the promise of the land was given.

E. Author Bruce Feiler who wrote "Abraham: A Journey to the Heart of Three Faiths" and who has been featured in Time Magazine and numerous national television networks. Feiler attempts to promote the idea that the land given to Abraham was given to all faiths including the Muslims and Christians. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Even a casual reading of the Old Testament indicates that the land was specifically given to the Jews. Feiler and others like him attempt to use revisionist history in order to support their personal political beliefs. The Bible indicates that land was given to the Jews and nobody else!



Three Facts About The Land


A. The promise was not made to the present day Jews who are primarily secular and do not believe in God. The promise was made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

B. Possession of the land is contingent upon obedience to God. Even though they are the descendants of Jacob, they will be cast out of the land because of disobedience. If they repent they will be given the land permanently.

C. The promise is an everlasting covenant and is still true today! (Exodus 33:11,13, Leviticus 25:23, Jeremiah 25:4,5, Ezekiel 37:25)

D. The boundaries of the Promised Land. (Genesis 15:18-21)


III. TEN PROPHECIES FULFILLED

1. God’s promise of the land along with specific boundaries. (Genesis 15:18-21) God’s promise to Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3; 13:15, 15:7) That promise was given again to Abraham’s son Isaac (Genesis 26:3-5), his grandson Jacob (Genesis 28:13) and to all of their descendants (Leviticus 25:46; Joshua 14:9).

2. God brought the children of Israel into the Promised Land. (Exodus 6:7,8; Deuteronomy 7:6;14:12)

3. God warned the children of Israel if they broke His commandments and practiced immorality and idolatry like the previous inhabitants of the land, that He would cast them out of the land. (Deuteronomy 9:4; 28:63, I Kings 9:7, 2 Chronicles 7:20) All of this happened as God foretold.

4. God stated that His people would be scattered “among all people, from one end of the earth even to the other.” (Deuteronomy 28:64; 1 Kings 9:7, Nehemiah 1:8; Amos 9:9; Zechariah 7:14) The Jews were scattered all over the earth.

5. God warned that wherever they wandered the Jews would be “an astonishment, a proverb, a byword…a curse and a reproach”. (Deuteronomy 28:37; 2 Chronicles 7:20; Jeremiah 29:18;44:8) Anti-Semitism has plagued the Jews for centuries, including the holocaust and the hostility of the Muslims.

6. The prophets declared the Jews would be persecuted and killed as no other people on the face of the earth.

7. God promised that despite all this that He would not let His people be destroyed and that He would preserve them as an ethnic group/ ( Jeremiah 30:11; 31:35-37 ) Due to the intense persecution of the Jews, it would have been desirous for the Jews to completely reject and hide their ethnic identity in order to survive. This would have meant changing their names, intermarrying and other things to hide the fact hat they were Jews. Yet, the Jews continue to preserve their bloodline and huge numbers do not intermarry. God chose to keep the Jews as a people for Himself. (Exodus 33:16; Leviticus 20:26)

8. God said that in the last days He would bring them back to their land. (Jeremiah 30:10; 31:8-12; Ezekiel 36:24, 35-38) God said that this would happen prior to the Second Coming of the Messiah. The fulfillment of this amazing prophecy occurred in 1948 when Israel was reformed as a nation. This happened nearly 1900 years after the final Diaspora which occurred at the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. by the Roman armies of Titus. The miracle of the restoration of a nation after 25 centuries in nothing less than miraculous.

9. God stated that in the last days before the Messiah’s return that Jersusalem would become “a cup of trembling… a burdensome stone for all people”. (Zechariah 12:2,3)

10. Finally, the ancient prophets predicted that the Jews would be “like an hearth of fire among the wood… to devour all the people round about…”. (Zechariah 12:6-8)







THE ROAD TO ARMAGEDDON   By Paul McGuire

The Armageddon Fuse Is Lit

The stage is slowly being set for an Armageddon-style conflict in the Middle East that will have global implications. America’s military efforts in Iraq and the accompanying regime change is simply one small move in a global-geopolitical chess game. In this end game, militant Islamic extremists such as Osama Bin Laden are using America’s military involvement in Iraq as a propaganda tool in the minds of millions of Muslims. Al Qaeda leaders are saying that America and Israel are waging a war against all of Islam. The strategy by al Qaeda, the PLO and other militant Islamic groups is simple. “Portray George W. Bush as a “Cowboy Crusader” who has declared a global holy war against Islam and inflame the passions of Muslims everywhere to join with the Islamic extremists and conquer the west for Allah!”

The goal of the Islamic extremists is to strike fear in Western economies and incite all Muslims to join in the jihad against a “Zionist controlled America” and European nations which sympathize with the United States. In short, the Islamic extremists want to light the fuse of Armageddon by launching a wave of terrorist attacks across the world. Here are some of the possible scenarios:



Scenario 1: Overthrow the current government in Saudi Arabia and cause complete chaos in that nation. This might include a nuclear strike at the big Saudi oil terminal at Ras Tanura.

Scenario 2: A major biological, chemical or nuclear attack against an Arab capital such as Kuwait, Bahtain, Qatar or Oman.

Scenario 3: A major biological, chemical or nuclear attack against one of Israel’s main cities.

Scenario 4: A major biological, chemical or nuclear attack against a European city whose nation has been an ally of the United States. For example, London would be a key target.

Scenario 5: A series of major biological, chemical and nuclear strikes against American cities. Conduct a series of assassinations against high level political and religious leaders in the United States.

Israel: The Center of the Cyclone

The possibility of World War III and an Armageddon type conflict revolves one nation in the world, and that nation is Israel. Since Israel’s reformation in 1948, Israel has been in the center of the cyclone. The driving force behind militant Islam’s deep hatred of Israel is their theological belief that Jews are the enemies of Allah and Islam. The United States of America is viewed as the “Great Satan” because America supports Israel. The goal of the PLO and the Islamic militants is not the creation of a Palestinian State, but rather to “drive Israel into the sea.” As such, the existence of Israel and their right to the land has become a problem for both Europe and America who would like to see the creation of a Palestinian State in order to achieve peace.

Ironically, the Old Testament prophet Zechariah predicted that “Jerusalem would be a cup of trembling to the nations” and a “burdensome stone” over 2500 years ago. Over 50 years ago Israel did not even exist as a modern nation. The land was called Palestine and had a largely Arab population. Yet, in 1948 Israel was mysteriously reborn as a nation. Today, the 5.6 billion inhabitants of Planet Earth look at Israel as the center of all global conflict and the Middle East peace process as mankind’s only hope of survival.









ALIEN INVADERS

During Easter week, 39 devotees of a UFO cult called Heaven's Gate killed themselves in Rancho Santa Fe, California. They believed that after their deaths they would join an alien spaceship they said was riding piggyback on the wake of Comet Hale-Bopp. As the story of their deaths unfolded, people the world over were stunned by the sights from the worst mass suicide in U.S. history.

Photos and video clips showed the dead cultists dressed in black and shrouded with diamond-shaped purple cloths. Next to them or under their beds in their suburban San Diego mansion were overnight bags that were packed, authorities speculated, for their rendezvous with Hale-Bopp's celestial rider. There were no signs of violence, indicating they all died willingly.

Days after their deaths, the world seemed to be buzzing with chatter about the latest on the subjects of UFOs, cults and odd New Age beliefs. The deaths in San Diego served to spark new questions in the minds of many Americans about mortality, immortality and what sort of life might follow their earthly one.

"Are there UFOs from other planets?" people wanted to know. "Has Earth been visited by beings from other galaxies?" "Have people literally been abducted and taken aboard alien spacecrafts?" Although Heaven's Gate represents the radical fringe of a global UFO movement, there are millions of less-dedicated, everyday followers who believe in UFOs and alien life.

In fact, recent polls indicate that more than 40 percent of Americans believe aliens have visited our planet. Other recent data suggest that more than 1 million inhabitants of this planet say they've had a personal encounter with a being from another planet--or with a UFO.

Is Anyone Out There?

Across the globe, UFO sightings are reported almost weekly. Many are published on the Internet with related reports of such things as "crop circles" and cattle mutilations. According to UFO buffs, the proliferation of both crop circles and cattle mutilations is attributed to UFOs and aliens because of the high degree of radiation accompanying them. Strange ring-like patterns discovered on July 27, 1991 , near Silbury Hill in Wiltshire , England , and in 1992 in Durham , North Carolina , are considered to be attempts by aliens to contact us. Moreover, an estimated 10,000 cases of cattle mutilations have been reported in which the animals have been "exsanguinated," or had their blood removed. Some people believe these mutilations were performed by aliens.

Many of the true believers in aliens and UFOs cannot be dismissed simply as oddballs or eccentrics. They include scientists, intellectuals, government leaders--and astronauts. One of them is Mercury astronaut Gordon Cooper. In 1951, as a young pilot, he was flying a U.S. Air Force F-86 jet over Germany when he saw flying-saucer-like objects flying in formation. In 1978 he wrote a letter to the United Nations stating he believed in UFOs. In June 1965 astronaut Ed White--the first American to walk in space--and astronaut James McDivitt were passing over Hawaii in a Gemini spacecraft when they saw weird-looking metallic objects. Although photographs were taken, they were never released. In December 1965 Gemini astronauts James Lovell and Frank Borman saw what appeared to be a UFO while making their second orbit of Earth.

The existence of UFOs and the possibility of aliens is taken very seriously by some scientific and governmental communities. An offshoot of NASA called SETI (Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence) has actually issued policies to deal with any alien encounter or communication, should one occur. In addition, the Secretary General of the United Nations--in accordance with Article XI of the Treaty Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, the Moon and Other Bodies--has instructed anyone who discovers credible evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence to inform the U.N. There are others who believe the U.S. government has for years withheld proof about the existence of extraterrestrial life forms from the American people. One such person is former astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who walked on the moon during the Apollo 14 space flight in 1971. Mitchell rejects the government account of an alleged UFO crash in Roswell , New Mexico , in 1947, in which federal authorities said the fallen craft was nothing more than a hot-air balloon. Mitchell says proof that would verify the craft as a UFO is being classified and covered up by the U.S. government.

Former New York Times journalist Howard Blum, whose work has twice been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, says the U.S. government is covering up its military investigations into UFO sightings and alien visitations. Blum is the author of an investigative book on UFOs called Out There. In his book, he reveals the existence of a top-secret "UFO Working Group" that was formed in 1987. The organization, which is made up of scientists and military officers, has met at the Pentagon to investigate UFOs. The U.S. government has, in fact, had a long history of investigating UFOs. Their research originated with what was called Project Blue Book, which--after examining more than 13,000 cases of UFO sightings over 20 years--officially debunked the existence of UFOs. Later, a secret group called MJ-12 (Operation Majestic 12) was created by then-President Harry Truman on Sept. 24, 1947 , to deal with public hysteria surrounding certain UFO sightings. Today, U.S. Air Force Intelligence, the FBI, the CIA and the National Security Agency continue to research extraterrestrial intelligence.

Eye-Witness Accounts

Hollywood , not surprisingly, has capitalized on this interest in space and celestial life with such TV shows as The X Files, Star Trek and Babylon 5. Films such as Independence Day, Communion and Close Encounters of the Third Kind have assumed that life exists on other planets. Because of the money that can be made from popular films and television shows, the question is raised whether some eye-witness accounts about aliens are merely an attempt to profit from a modern-day mystery. Best-selling author Whitley Strieber writes about his own abduction by aliens in his books Communion, Transformation and Breakthrough. It is noteworthy that Strieber experimented in the occult before having his alien encounters. His recent books include The Secret School: Preparation For Contact and Evenings With Demons. Bud Hopkins, a painter and sculptor in New York City , has written a series of alien-encounter books, including Witnessed: The True Story of the Brooklyn Bridge UFO Abductions. Witnessed details the story of Linda Cortile, a woman who witnesses say was beamed aboard a spaceship on Nov. 30, 1989 . According to their statements, Linda was levitated by a blue light onto a large, glowing, reddish-orange UFO near the Brooklyn Bridge .

Yet how do we know that reports of alien encounters are true or that extraterrestrial life exists? Does the Bible say anything about beings visiting Earth? Are these encounters, and others like them, simply the result of drug use, over-active imaginations or memories that surface during hypnotic treatments?

Actually, there are far too many documented accounts of both abductions and UFO sightings to dismiss all of them with simplistic explanations. It is likely that the experiences people report are real. However, the source of their alien encounters is undoubtedly not extraterrestrial, but demonic.

Aliens & Nephilim

A close relation exists today among New Age activities, the occult, UFO abductions and alien encounters. In general, alien communications can be placed in the category of what the Bible says about doctrines of demons and deceiving spirits (see 1 Tim. 4:1).

Even more disturbing than mere communication with aliens is the growing number of reports from women who claim to have been impregnated with alien seed, as well as accounts about sexual activity among angels, aliens, demons and humans. How accurate and reliable these reports are is hard to tell.

Yet according to Scripture, such accounts may not be so far-fetched. In Matthew 24:37, Jesus says, "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be" (NKJV). Some Bible scholars believe that in the days of Noah, just before the Flood, fallen angelic beings were visiting the earth and having sexual relations with women, producing a unique offspring the Bible refers to as "the Nephilim," or giants (see Gen. 6:4). These Bible scholars believe that it was the interbreeding of angels and mankind that was a contributing factor to God's sending the Flood. In Jude 6-7 the apostle Jude writes about angels who had "given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh."

UFO researcher and astrophysicist R. Jacques Vallee, who served as the real-life model for the French scientist played by actor Francois Truffaut in Steven Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind, has an interesting theory. Although Vallee is not a Christian, he believes a relation exists among such phenomena as shining UFO saucers; the Virgin Mary's appearance to 70,000 people in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917; and Mormonism founder Joseph Smith's vision of God and Jesus. He equates the global belief in flying saucers to earlier beliefs, such as the one held by Paiute Indians in California that said the region was populated by an advanced civilization called Hav-Masuvs who traveled in silvery "flying-canoes." It is Vallee's conclusion that such beliefs are coming from a different dimension than our own, perhaps a spiritual one. This is precisely what the apostle Paul refers to when he says in Ephesians 6:12: "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against... spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

The Last Days

Many people in the UFO movement believe we are rapidly approaching a time they call "full global disclosure," during which the U.S. government or some other governmental body will announce the existence of extraterrestrials or state that there has been communication with alien intelligence.






OVERVIEW OF THE NEW AGE    By Paul McGuire

The first thing we must understand about the New Age Movement is that it is not new. It is a compilation of old myths, of ancient Bhuddism, all dusted off and translated into high-tech Western scientific terms. What has been coined the New Age Movement by the mass media is really the combining and blending of various spiritual movements that are centuries old.

HINDUISM

The origin of Hinduism dates back as early as 2000 to 1000 B.C. Hinduism has no historical founder, but its tradition teaches that its spiritual laws and truths were revealed to spiritual men called rishis, who lived along the banks of the Ganges and Indus rivers in northern India . According to Hinduism, Brahman is the supreme, absolute, eternal, infinite, neuter Spirit Being. Brahman is also perfect and unchangeable. Hinduism teaches that only that which is permanent is real. Because all things change except Brahman, only Brahman is real. Hundreds of lesser gods can be worshiped by the Hindu because all gods are seen as different aspects of the one Brahman. According to Hinduism, every living thing has a spirit or soul, called an atman, which comes from Brahman. The final destination of the human atman is union with Brahman, but this cannot be achieved in just one lifetime. Therefore, each individual atman, or soul, must pass from body to body, lifetime after lifetime, guided by the law of karma. This is called reincarnation, or the transmigration of the soul. The law of karma determines what type of life will be lived in each reincarnation. According to this law, your current life is the product of your deeds in past lives. Your next reincarnation will depend on your deeds during this life. It is this tenet which is the basis for many things taught by people like Shirley MacLaine, Ruth Montgomery, and various other gurus and spiritual teachers. This belief in reincarnation has been given a fresh infusion of credibility by scientists like Raymond A. Moody Jr., M.D., author of Life after Life, which investigates NDEs (or Near Death Experiences) and OBEs (or Out of Body Experiences). Although not directly embracing reincarnation, his accounts of NDEs when one encounters a "Being of Light" paved the way for a New Age theology which openly accepts reincarnation.

Moody reports that after meeting several "beings of light," the NDE-er usually meets a supreme Being of Light, whom people with a Christian background often call God or Jesus but whom those of other religious traditions call Buddha or Allah. Still others apparently say that this supreme being of light is none of these personages, but nevertheless is someone very awesome. One wonders who this other being is? According to Martha Knobloch, a Christian expert on the subject of reincarnation, powers of darkness can come as "beings of light" and create the hallucinations involved in NDEs and OBEs. In addition, Knobloch believes that demons can actually cause people to remember "past lives" that they never lived.

BUDDHISM

The religion of Bhuddism was founded in India by Siddhartha Gautama (later called "the Buddha" or "enlightened one"), who lived between 560 and 480 B.C., as a protest against certain Hindu doctrines. Siddhartha Gautama was raised in an affluent family and did not even know that poverty existed until he left the pleasant confines of his father's palace. Siddhartha was so disturbed by the poverty and despair that existed that he decided to go on a spiritual journey to find answers. Shaving his head and donning a robe, Siddhartha Gautama traveled and consulted with gurus and spiritual teachers. Finally, Siddhartha Gautama began to meditate, became "enlightened," and developed what became known as the Noble Eight-fold path that would lead to nirvana or "perfect insight," a quality of mind. These eight techniques consisted of: (1) right belief, (2) right aspiration, (3) right speech, (4) right action, (5) right occupation, (6) right effort, (7) right thought, (8) right meditation.

In a nutshell, the Bhudda's Noble Eight-fold Path is a program of self-effort that is designed to earn you peace. Like every other New Age teaching and mystical practice, the road to Paradise is paved by your own personal spiritual performance. In other words, you earn your way to heaven through your works. This is the antithesis of the teaching of the Apostle Paul’s method of salvation described in the Bible as based on faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast."

FROM THE PAST TO THE PRESENT

Coupled with these ancient belief systems (Hinduism and Bhuddism) are the more recent ideas of women like Madame Blavatsky who founded the Theosophical Society and wrote Isis Unveiled in the late nineteenth century. Blavatsky's Theosophical Movement emphasized the Hindu and Bhuddist teachings of reincarnation and taught there are mahatmas ("great souls" or exalted beings) who have come to earth to teach us the way to enlightenment. The ideas of the Theosophical Society blended with Mary Baker Eddy's Christian Science teachings and with dozens of other hybrid religious movements in the early twentieth century. However, the most immediate spiritual predecessor of the contemporary New Age Movement was the Hippie movement of the 1960s and the earlier Beatnik movement of the 1950s. Both of these cultural and social phenomena came about as reactions to the materialism of the post-World War II years.

Poets, writers, philosophers, and intellectuals (such as Alan Watts, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs, and Gregory Corso) called for a new brand of American consciousness and popularized the use of marijuana and Eastern meditation in our culture. By the 1960s, the ideas of men like Timothy Leary were increasingly acceptable to larger segments of society, and the appeal of pop music groups, such as the Grateful Dead, the Jefferson Starship, the Doors, and the Beatles, ushered the psychedelic-mystical revolution into the living rooms of millions of ordinary middle-class teenagers. When John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison began to follow the guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the founder of Transcendental Meditation (TM), millions of Americans joined them. Many of the spiritual movements now popular in the New Age movement had their twentieth-century revivals in the 1960s and early 1970s. In fact, many social analysts believe that the New Age movement is nothing more than an attempt to rediscover the interests of the 1960s and the idealism of the Hippie movement.

But the current New Age Movement has made some interesting departures from its earlier predecessors that reflect the maturity of its followers. There has been a de-emphasis in the use of drugs in favor of health foods, meditation, channeling, crystals, and astral projection. Channeling and astral projection have replaced the powerful psychedelic experience of the 1960s, although there are signs of a possible resurgence of LSD through the work of modern shamanists like Terrence McKenna and the popularity of the Albert Hoffman Institute in Los Angeles, which seeks to protect the use of LSD experimentation. (Albert Hoffman was the Swiss chemist who accidentally discovered the chemical LSD.)

NEW AGE PRACTICES AND TERMS

To understand more clearly what the New Age Movement is we must understand some of the terms associated with it and the practices employed by it.

Channeling. The practice of channeling is not new. It is what the Old Testament termed mediumship, consulting with spirits, and spiritism. Channeling or mediumship is when an individual willfully yields to a spirit by going into a trancelike state. Channeling has been around for centuries and is mentioned in the Old Testament. King Saul consulted mediums and channelers when he was looking for supernatural answers. First Samuel 28:7 says: "Then Saul said to his servants, 'Seek for me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.' And his servants said to him, 'Behold, there is a woman who is a medium at Endor.'" We knew that Saul knew that it was wrong to consult mediums, for he had to visit the medium in disguise, having previously cut off all mediums and spiritists from the land. Today there are several famous channelers: J.Z. Knight channels an entity or spirit called Ramtha, Jach Pusel mediums Lazaris, and there are thousands of lesser known channelers or mediums who give private consultations. Some even have their own television shows. In some cases, these channelers are fakes and charlatans, and in other cases they are actually letting spirits talk through them. The Old Testament is very specific about forbidding the practice of channeling, consulting spirits, or using mediums. Leviticus 19:31 states: "Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God." Shirley MacLaine, Kevin Ryerson, Jane Roberts, J.Z. Knight, Jach Pursel, and the thousands of others who are practicing and encouraging channeling may appear to be very compassionate and intelligent people. But the practices of channeling, consulting spirits, and mediumship contradict Old and New Testament teachings.

Astrology. This New Age practice goes way back in ancient history. The ancient Tower of Babel , built by the ruler Nimrod, was actually a giant astrological platform. The prophet Isaiah warns against the practice of astrology in Isaiah 47:13-14: "You are wearied with your many counsel; let now the astrologers, those who prophesy by the stars, those who predict by the new moons, stand up and save you from what will come upon you. Behold, they have become like stubble, fire burns them; they cannot deliver themselves from the power of the flame...." The ancient Hebrew prophets taught a theology that did not include the use of astrology. Linda Goodman is one of the most famous astrologers of our era, selling over 60 million copies of her first two books on astrology, Sun Signs and Love Signs. Both of these books have been translated into over fifteen languages, and she has received bids of millions of dollars from publishing companies seeking the rights to her new books. Goodman is not a fatalistic astrologer who believes "it's all in the stars." Two themes emerge in her writing: (1) time does not really exist; and (2) when you learn to become a mover instead of a pawn, you rise above your horoscope. However, in an interview with Whole Life Times magazine Goodman responds to the question: "What do you think is going to happen in this New Age? You speak in one of your books about this being a time of preparation for the appearance of a Messiah." Goodman answers: "I also point out in the 'Lexigram' chapter of Star Signs that the Second Coming is not going to be a barefooted man floating down in a white robe. The Second Coming is in each heart, when each man and each woman realizes that 'I too am a Messiah.' And then I did a Lexigram on the word Messiah. I am he. She is me. He is her. I am she. He is me."

Crystals . If anything hallmarks the New Age Movement it is the use of crystals. I recently visited the Bhodi Tree Bookstore on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles . This is the most famous New Age bookstore in the world, recently popularized by Shirley MacLaine in her television movie and book Out on a Limb. Inside the bookstore there was a large assortment of crystals for sale, as well as numerous books and magazines on the subject. Crystals are supposed to generate cosmic energy and facilitate higher consciousness and divine healing. Crystals have been used for everything from relieving depression to warding off evil spirits. They are in a sense a New Age cure-all. Recently, a "Crystal Congress" was held in Los Angeles and noted speakers from around the world - like scientist and author Marc Vogel, Uma Silbey (jewelry designer and author), and Katrina Raphael (healing professional and author) - came to lecture on the healing arts and metaphysical applications of crystals, mineralogy, and geology.

New Age Medicine and Holistic Health. New Age thinking has infiltrated the medical establishment and has begun to permeate the thinking of medical doctors. In this area it is difficult to discern between what are legitimate new forms of medicine based on Eastern medical techniques and new scientific discoveries, and what is clearly New Age or occult. Terms like homeopathy, herbs, chakras, acupuncture, deep tissue bodywork massage, rolfing, polarity energy balance, clinical ecology, environmental stress, Reichan Therapy, Tibetan Reiki Therapy, Kirlian photography, electro-acupuncture, mineral balancing, chelation therapy, colon hydrotherapy, amino therapy, aromatherapy, integrated metabolic programs, bio-energetics, flower essences, and reflexology are just a few of the current trends in the medical arts. The New Testament says: "Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body" (1 Corinthians 6:19 -20). Eating properly, the use of herbs and vitamins, relaxation, massage therapy and exercise all promote health. The problem is that some New Age Medicine and Holistic Health practices move into the area of what could be considered the occult.

Meditation. This ancient Hindu and Bhuddist practice involves emptying the conscious mind in order to become passive and to awaken the God-consciousness within you through the use of a mantra. By concentrating and chanting a mantra word, your mind supposedly becomes attuned to what mystics call your higher self or cosmic consciousness. Meditation is an integral part of most New Age practices, but there is a radical difference between prayer and New Age meditation. Prayer is communication with God through Jesus Christ. It may involve verbal prayer or "praying in the Spirit," but this communication is always directed toward the person of God. New Age meditation, on the other hand, is an emptying process where one focuses on a mantra which is usually a chant designed to contact a Hindu deity There is a long tradition of sound Christian meditation, not to be confused with Eastern forms of meditation. It is certainly proper to meditate on the Word of God or to think in a concentrated manner about what God is doing in your life. "I have more insight than all my teachers, for thy testimonies are my meditation," says the writer of Psalm 119:99. Meditation on the Bible involves focused thinking about what God has said. It is completely different from opening your mind to the "cosmic consciousness."

Visualization. First of all, visualization to some degree is a normal function and creative tool of the mind. Every person before beginning any project or goal employs some kind of visualization in order to achieve it. Many athletes use a technique of visualization when they mentally picture themselves winning or performing a specific task successfully. Studies show that good automobile drivers who have low accident records often visualize or fantasize how they would get out of a particular accident situation while they drive. When they are faced with a potential accident, they have already rehearsed in their minds what action they are going to take to avoid it. A certain degree of visualization is necessary to perform activities in life successfully. This kind of visualization is, however, different from the shamanistic Hinduism of someone like Shakti Gawain, guru and author of Creative Visualization, who employs the technique of visualization in the mystical or occult sense. In this type of visualization, your mind or mind power becomes the god or source of all power. You begin to believe that you can control everything in your life through visualizing it. The result is that you begin to play God and attempt to control everything through visualization.










HOLLYWOOD RELIGION    By Paul McGuire

Mega-star Tom Cruise, uses his fame to promote Scientology, while fellow believer John Travolta produced the movie Battlefield Earth written by L. Ron Hubbard. It has been reported that Tom Cruise’s break up with Nicole Kidman had to do with Scientology. Demi Moore credits much of her success to New Age author Deepak Chopra, and Ophra Winfrey uses her national talk show to promote the occult teachings of The Course In Miracles. Since Shirley MacLaine proclaimed “I am God” on a television special based on her mystical experience, a full-scale revival has emerged with, but with occult, New Age and pagan religions – and its being led by some of America’s hottest stars.

On a recent interview with Barbara Walters, John Travolta’s wife proclaimed unabashedly, “Scientology rocks!” The movie Seven Years In Tibet starred Brad Pitt as the real-life mountain climber who escaped a British prisoner of war camp, climbed the Himalayas, met and tutored a young Dalai Lama. A new film coming out from Hollywood will be based on the Harry Potter novels and will promote Witchcraft the occult. Other films such as The Craft: Welcome to the Witching Hour from Columbia Pictures, glamorize teen-age girls experimenting with Witchcraft who place spells on the other students in the school. John Travolta has done a number of films that have given him an opportunity to promote Scientology. In the movie, Phenomenon, Travolta plays a man with supernatural powers and in Battlefield Earth and its upcoming sequel the tenets of Scientology are promoted.

In fact, Scientology is the most powerful religion in Hollywood. Tom Cruise, Kirstie Alley, Priscilla Presley, Travolta and Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson, all publicly claim to follow the teachings of Scientology. Beside the stars, there are countless other actors, directors, writers, agents and technical people who are Scientologists. L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology’s founder, wrote the best-selling book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. Hubbard believed that in society, the artist is more powerful than the politician. As such he has specifically set organizations and groups to specifically recruit artists, actors and other creative people in Hollywood. Ironically, the contemporary Christian culture has completely missed this truth. Most Christian actors, directors and writers go out of their way to hide the fact that they are Christians. At the same time the Christian culture emphasizes criticizing Hollywood rather that challenging the system with superior art and creativity.

With the risk of sounding unkind, I do not think that it would be unfair to say that the evangelical culture is backwards, when it comes to art and culture. The reason for this is that mindset of the contemporary Christian culture, along with some of its leadership is essentially anti-art and anti-intellectual. Due to a compartmentalized and Pietistic Christianity it falsely teaches that things like art, politics, business, film and science are not as spiritual as things like praise, worship and Bible studies. The result is a non-Biblical pietism that stifles art and creativity in the Christian culture. Due to the fact that the Christian culture has deserted arts and entertainment, for the most part ( there are some notable exceptions )

The entertainment industry and mass culture are being swept away by a occult revival. Examples of this are basketball superstar Michael Jordan, formerly of the Chicago Bulls, embracing Zen Meditation. Ex-Beatle George Harrison, actresses Elizabeth Taylor and Laura Dern and fashion designer Calvin Klein all practice the teachings of Transcendental Meditation (TM) founder Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Even the somewhat conservative Harrison Ford helps to raise money for the Dalai Lama. Sally Jesse Rafael hosted psychic and astrologer Walter Mercado. The entire program was devoted to Mercado talking about his consultations with stars and pronouncing psychic blessings on the audience. Mercados' television show is seen by 500 million people worldwide, and he runs a multi-million dollar psychic empire of books, tapes and lectures. Mercado and other people who are involved in the occult or paranormal are often put on a pedestal by the media as “saints” who can do no wrong. In contrast, when the media does a story on a Christian evangelist or leader, it is usually in a harsh and critical light.

There are exceptions, such as the recently favorable interview outspoken Christian and actress Dyan Cannon on the Larry King Show. Cannon doesn’t seem to fit the mold of your typical Hollywood Christian who is afraid to be identified with Christ. Notwithstanding her skin-tight pants and careful navigation of tricky questions, Dyan Cannon was not afraid to share her faith with tens of millions of viewers.

However, for the most part Hollywood has rejected Biblical Christianity. Instead, many celebrities embrace New Age teachers like Marianne Williamson, who has been a spiritual advisor to former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. Williamson’s career was jump-started by talk show host Oprah Winfrey who has embraced the occult teaching “A Course In Miracles” which is promoted by Marianne Williamson. “A Course In Miracles” uses words like “miracles, “Son of God” and “Jesus Christ.” But, they are not talking about the Jesus Christ of the Bible.

Marianne Williamson is very popular in Hollywood circles. Cher, Roseanne Arquette, Raquel Welch and others attend her lectures. Williamson even officiated at the wedding of Elizabeth Taylor at Michael Jackson’s 2,700-acre estate in the Santa Ynez mountains. Williamson’s influence extends well beyond the Hollywood community. She rolled her prominence as advisor to the First Lady into a book, The Healing of America, which deals with politics and social change. In the book she calls for a “new prophetic voice…not a soloist but a choir.”

One of the biggest promoters of New Age thought in America is Oprah Winfrey. She has helped push the careers of New Age teachers such as Betty Eadie, who wrote Embraced By the Light and who claimed that during a near death experience Jesus showed her that all religions lead to God.. In response to that statement, Winfrey said, “That’s what I believe.”

Winfrey’s words, ”That’s what I believe,” reflect the root cause of why paganism, Eastern mysticism, the New Age and the occult are rampant in Hollywood. It’s not that a group of Hollywood executives, producers, and stars got together in some dark room to plan a conspiracy. It’s simply that Hollywood films and television programs reflect the spiritual beliefs of those who produce them. However, the net result is the same because the power of those films and television shows to influence young minds and shape the belief systems of new generations is staggering. As the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard, said, “the artist is more powerful than the politician.”




SHOULD WE TAKE THE STORY OF THE VIRGIN BIRTH LITERALLY?    By Paul McGuire

I got an E Mail from a female listener the other day who told me that the Virgin Birth and story of Noah’s Ark , were not to be taken literally because they were scientifically impossible. In one sense she was right, it is scientifically impossible for a woman to conceive a child without male seed or sperm. This conception can take place through sexual intercourse or some form of artificial insemination. Yet, in both cases, male seed or sperm is necessary for conception to occur.

However, in Matthew Chapter 1 we read, “This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about; His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 1:18 (Life Application Bible) It is clear here that the Bible states that Mary became pregnant, not through any sexual union with Joseph, but through a supernatural act of the Holy Spirit. Nowhere in human history has a woman ever become pregnant without the introduction of male seed. In fact, scientifically, it is impossible for any woman to become pregnant without male seed. Yet, the whole point of the Virgin Birth is that God through the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary and gave birth to the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Obviously, people who reject the fact, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, also reject the reality of the Virgin Birth. But, sadly, many people who are Christians also reject the reality of the Virgin Birth. The reason for this is that they have had their belief system influenced by both secular humanism and liberal theology. In reality, liberal theology is secular humanism that simply uses religious words. From a philosophical point of view, liberal theology and secular humanism are the exact same thing.

If we believe that the Virgin Birth is a metaphor or symbolic, then the birth of Jesus Christ really means nothing. If Christ is not divine, He obviously cannot save. But, then again in liberal theology and secular humanism, man does not need a Savior, because man is not sinful, only misguided. It is important to understand from a logical and rational point of view, that if the Virgin Birth is a metaphor or a fictional “religious story” to guide us, then all of scripture is reduced to symbolism, allegory or metaphor.
